However, you can make this dabeli at your home in few easy steps and maintain your taste without the concern of the hygiene at the street thelas.
Here is how to make the dabeli in its authentic Kutchi way! Try this today!
Ingredients:
For stuffing:
Dabeli Masala- 3 tbsp
Imli chutney- 4 tbsp
oil- 2 tbsp
boiled and mashed potatoes- 2.5 cups
salt- to taste
finely chopped coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
grated coconut- 2 tbsp
fresh pomegranate- 2 tbsp
For Dabeli:
pavs- 8
imli chutney- 2 tbsp

sev- 2 tbsp
butter- for cooking
Procedure:
1. Mix the dabeli masala and khajur-imli ki chutney well.
( Dabeli masala is available in market in two forms- dry and non-dry. Please choose as per your choice. I prefer the non-dry dabeli masala )

Procedure:

After mixing, the masala looks like this.
2. Now, heat the oil and add the mixed masala-chutney to it. Cook till oil separates.
3. Add potatoes to the mixture and mix well.
As soon as you mix the mashed potatoes with the masala properly, take the mixture out in a bowl.
4. Garnish the stuffing with the coriander, grated coconuts, masala peanuts and pomegranate seeds.
5. To make the dabeli, cut the pav from two sides.( make a v- shape )
6. Add imli-khajur chutney to it properly.
7. Add masala peanuts to it. Add a spoonful of stuffing to dabeli.
8. Similarly prepare the rest of Dabelis and shallow fry these on the buttered tava.
9. Take the dabeli out after cooking it from all sides and dip the sides in chutney and sev.
10. Serve the dabeli with some more sev and pomegranate seeds. Your dabeli is ready in 10 easy steps.
