Ganapati festival is on and Modak is His favorite delicacy. Hence, I am trying to make various modaks for Him. I hope He likes these modaks and you these recipes..
Here is one of these modak recipe..
water - as per requirement
oil- 1 tbsp
oil for frying
gajar halva : 1 cup
Here is how to make it ==> gajar halva
Thereafter, take a small amount of dough and roll it out. ( thinner on the edges and thicker at the center)
Make a small peda like ball of gajar halva and place at the center of the rolled puri.
Here is one of these modak recipe..
Ingredients:
All purpose flour - 3/4 cupwater - as per requirement
oil- 1 tbsp
oil for frying
gajar halva : 1 cup

Procedure:
Make a tough dough using All purpose flour and water. Add a tablespoon of oil and keep the dough to rest for about 20 minutes.Thereafter, take a small amount of dough and roll it out. ( thinner on the edges and thicker at the center)
Make a small peda like ball of gajar halva and place at the center of the rolled puri.
Now fold the puri like we fold the kachoris or use the modak mold to give the modak, its shape like follows.
Now, deep fry the modaks till golden brown.
After frying, modaks looks like the following..
Garnish with the fruits, dryfruits, etc.. and serve this as naivedyam to Lord Ganesha and earn His blessings..
