Manchurian balls with healthy twist

Most of us love Indian Chinese food. Manchurian is one of these dishes which has gained popularity over years. It is fully made up of maida/ cornflour making it completely unhealthy for us. Here I bring to you all, healthy version of it.. A version made up of bajra flour, a very healthy option to add nutrition to the Manchurian..

Ingredients:

bajra flour- 1 cup
wheat flour- 1/2 cup
rice flour- 1/2 cup
cabbage -finely shredded - 2 cups
salt- as per taste
corn flour - 1 tbsp
water as per requirement
oil- to fry
ginger - finely shredded - 1 1/2 inch
green chilies - finely chopped- 4
black pepper powder- 1 tbsp

Procedure:

Mix bajra, rice and wheat flours. Add ginger, chili and black pepper powder. Now, add salt and mix well. Add a little water and make a tough dough.

Make a slurry by mixing corn flour, a little black pepper powder , salt and water. (A thin slurry (1 tbsp corn flour, 3 tbsp water))

Now, roll balls out of above dough, dip into slurry and deep fry till brown in color.

Manchurian balls are ready. You can use this base recipe to make the dry Manchurian ( a combination of Chinese sauces and Manchurian balls with some vegies)
or make gravy Manchurian by adding balls to gravy made up using Chinese sauces..

I hope you will definitely like these healthier version of Manchurian with a bajra twist :)
