Aaralot/araroot flour/tapkir is a magical flour which is a flour for the fasts. It can be used to create various magical dishes. One of these delicacies is its sheera which can made in a jiffy within 10 minutes. I hope you like this recipe and make this in a jiffy :)
Aaralot/ tapkir aata - 1/3 cup
buttermilk- 1 cup
sugar- 1 tbsp
crushed peanuts- 1/3 cup
salt- as per taste
green chili paste- 1 tbsp
cumin seeds/jeera - 1 tsp
curry leaves- 5-6
turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
chopped coriander- 1/4 cup
oil- 1 tbsp
green chutney- to serve
pomegranate seeds- to garnish(optional)
Now, heat oil and add cumin seeds to it. As soon as these crackle, add curry leaves. Add turmeric powder and above mixture.
Stir well till mixture thickens and becomes semi-solid.
Grease a plate with oil and pour the mixture into the plate. As it cools down a bit, level it with a spoon or hands.
Cut down into pieces and serve with the green chutney and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
Serve cool.( do not serve hot, as it would feel sticky when hot. On cooling, it tastes the best)
