Ingredients:
rava- 3 cupsbuttermilk- 3 cups
carrots- 1 cup
capsicum- 1/2 cup
green chilies- 4-5
green peas-(boiled)- 1/2 cup
coriander leaves(finely chopped)- 2 tbsp
fruit salt- 1 packet( 7 gms)
sugar- 1 tbsp
oil- 2 tbsp
urad dal- 1 tbsp
jeera- 1 tbsp
mustard seeds- 1/2 tbsp
curry leaves- 10-12 leaves
til- 1 tbsp
Procedure:
Mix rava, buttermilk, carrots, capsicum, green chilies and green peas.
Add salt as per taste. Now add coriander leaves and mix well.
Now add fruit salt.
Pour quarter cup of warm water on it and mix well. Add sugar.
In a non-stick flat kadhai, heat the oil. Add mustard seeds. As these crackle, add jeera. Add curry leaves and urad dal.
As the urad dal turns pink, pour the mixture into it.
Close the vessel with lid and cook this for 20 minutes on low flame. Check the cake once by inserting a knife. If it comes out easily, your handvo is ready to serve.
Serve the handvo with your fav. chutney.
