Sev-tamatar ki sabji
This is a kathiyawadi dish and tastes wonderful. It can be cooked in very less time.
Ingredients:
Sev/gathiya (yellow colored are more preferred)- 1 cuptomatoes- 2 medium
dhaniya/coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsp
red chili powder - as per taste
ginger-chili paste- 1 tsp
cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
oil- 2 tsp
curry leaves-3-4
water- 1/2 cup
Procedure:
Step 1. Blend the tomatoes, curry leaves, coriander powder, red chili powder in a mixer. Make a smooth paste.Step 2. Now heat up oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. As the cumin seeds get cooked, add the ginger chili paste and let it cook for a minute.
Step 3. Add the tomato paste and let it cook till the oil separates.
Step 4. Add sugar and salt to taste.
Step 5. Keep this gravy ready.You can store this gravy in freezer and use it whenever required.
Step 6. Now just add a little water in the gravy. Once this gets a boil, add the sev to it and serve hot.
If you have to carry it in the tiffin, avoid the addition of sev to it beforehand. You can add the sev as and when you want to eat.
This kathiyawadi sabji is finger-licking good. I hope you enjoy it
