Boil water and add tomatoes into it. Let it boil till it becomes easy for us to remove the peel of it. Now just take tomatoes out of the water and crush the tomato in a grinder. Now, heat the oil in a pan and add jeera for the tampering. after jeera starts cooking, add coriander powder, turmeric powder. Add crushed peanuts just after the powders are added. Just when the peanuts get mixed well with the masala, add tomato paste and cook till it oozes oil. Add sugar and salt to taste. Add the garam masala and cook till masala gets mixed with the rest of the ingredients. Now add some water and let it get cooked for few minutes till desired consistency.
Enjoy the tomato bharta with chapati / roti.
- tomato -5 medium
- peanut(crushed)- 1/4 cup
- sugar- to taste
- red chili powder- 3/4 th tsp
- garam masala powder-1//2 tsp
- dhaniya/coriander powder-1 tsp
- turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp
- jeera-1/4 tsp
- oil -1 tbsp
- water- as per requirement
