Making perfect pizza bases at home is a bakers dream come true. Moving towards a healthy lifestyle, we all always want to make our favorite dishes healthier. Hence, in this recipe, I have added the goodness of whole wheat into our traditional pizza base and tried making it healthier. Hope, you like it and enjoy.
Ingredients:
wheat flour- 2 cup
maida- 2 cup
rava- 2 tbsp
active yeast- 2 tsp
sugar- 2 tsp
salt -to taste
oil- 2 tbsp
warm water- for making dough.
Procedure:
Mix wheat flour, maida, salt, active yeast, sugar and oil.
Mix well. Keep on adding warm water to make a very soft dough.
Once the dough is ready, knead it continuously to make it very soft. Use oil to do so.
Now, cover up the dough for 30-45 minutes to prove. Cover it with wet muslin cloth. After 45 minutes, it rises to almost double. Now, smoothly knead it once to remove the excess air.
Make 8 equal pieces of the dough ( for pan pizza size )/ else into 6 for the regular size pizza.
Roll the pizza base from these balls.
Ensure to prick each one with the fork.
Now, place each one on the greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven for almost 8-10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Your pizza bases are ready to be used.
