Lauki halwa


Winters bring a lot of fresh vegetables together. Iss gulabi thand me garama garam halva to banata hai. Hence, a fresh Lauki or bottle gourd inspired me to make this quick and delicious desert on a cold winter night.This is one which can be easily made with the ingredients available at all. Other variants can be made using khoya, condensed milk.

Let's see how to make this one:

Ingredients:

Lauki- 1 medium - grated
milk- 1 cup
sugar- 1/3 cup
elaichi powder- 1 generous pinch
ghee - 1 tsp

Procedure:

Heat a thick bottomed kadhai. Add lauki and milk. Add sugar. Heat on slow flame till all the water is reduced. Add ghee and elaichi powder to it. 






Garnish with almonds or any favorite dry fruits.
