Ingredients:
cashews- 8-10
milk- 1 cup
coriander- 1/4 cup
salt- to taste
honey- 2 tsp
methi leaves- 1 cup
peas- 1/2 cup (boiled)
dessicated coconut- 1 tsp
green chili- 3
black pepper- 8-10
bay leaf- 1
elaichi/green cardamom- 2
cinnamon/dalchini- 1/2 inch stick
laving/ cloves- 4-5
oil- 1 tsp
ghee- 1/2 tsp
ginger- 1 tbsp- grated
malai/cream- 1 tbsp
garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Procedure:
1. Soak cashews in milk for 1/2 hour.
2. Now, add coconut, coriander and green chilies to it and make a paste out of it.
3. Roast lack pepper, bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves for 2 minutes.
4. Heat oil. Add ghee to it.
5. Now add grated ginger to it. Cook for a till ginger changes its color.
6. Add the roasted spices and cook for a while.
7. Add the paste and cook till oil separates.
8. Add the methi leaves and peas. Add some water to make the gravy of desired consistency.
9. Now add salt to taste and garam masala.
10. Add honey and cook well.
11. Add malai.
12. Mix well and serve hot.
Yummy methi malai matar is ready to serve.Serve hot with chapati, roti, naan or rice.
