Tilachi Poli


During this festive January, sweets are must. What else can be as healthy as til in these festive winters.. Hence, sweet related to til are mostly prepared in India during these days to make our festivals healthy and tasty. One such sweet is Tilachi poli, from Maharashtra. It is a sweet roti made up of very few ingredients, yet one of the best sweets in its form.

Lets see quickly, how to make Tilachi poli..

Ingredients:


Roasted Til - 3/4 cup
Gul/ jaggery - 1/3 cup
elaichi powder- a pinch
salt- a very small pinch
wheat flour dough ( semi soft dough, with salt added) - 1 cup ( dough for 10 small parathas)





Procedure:

1. Mix til and gul and grind it together into a mixer grinder.



2. Add a little salt and elaichi powder into the mixture and give it a quick mix.


3. Your stuffing is ready. Now, all you need to do is to stuff this into parathas.


4. Take a small piece out of dough. Roll it out like a poori. Place a tablespoon of mixture into it.

5. Fold it like a kachori. Now, roll it again gently. Ensure, no mixture comes out.


6. Place it over the tava. Apply oil on both the sides and cook well.


7. Your tilachi poli is ready to be served. 


8. Cut it into pieces and serve with some til and shingdana chutney.
