16. Schezwan Sauce:

    Preparation  time     :   5 minutes
    Cooking  time              :   15  minutes
 

Ingredients:

  • oil: 2 tbsp
  • salt- to taste
  • black pepper powder- 1/4 tsp
  • dark soya sauce- 1/2 tsp
  • chilli sauce- 2 tsp
  • vinegar- 1/2 tsp
  • sugar-to taste
  • ginger-1 inch
  • sugar to taste
  • red chili paste- 1 tbsp
  • Water as per requirement

Procedure:

Preparing the red chili paste:
 Soak the red chilies in water for 2 hours. Then just grind the soaked chilies and prepare a thick paste.

Preparing sauce:
1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add to it the chili paste.(make sure you put it as per your requirement of hotness in the sauce).
3. Add finely chopped ginger to it
4. Cook this till oil separates.
5. Add the salt as per taste. then add the soya sauce. Add chili sauce, sugar and vinegar.
6. Add a little water to it, to give it a sauce like consistency.


Note: (Schezwan sauce usually has a lots of garlic in it, but in jain version we are restricted for usage of garlic. Hence it wont taste the way it usually tastes, but it tastes very good)
