15. Paneer Chilli:
Serves : 2
Preparation time : 5 minutes
Cooking time : 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- oil: 1 tbsp
- carrots(cut into 1/2"*1/4" pieces)- 1/3 cup
- green bell peppers(cut into dices)-1/3 cup
- red bell peppers(cut into dices)-1/3 cup
- paneer(cut into small cubes(1/2"*1/2"))- 2 cups
- salt- to taste
- black pepper powder- 3/4 tsp
- maida- 1/4 cup or cornflour 1/4 cup
- dark soya sauce- 2 tsp
- tomato sauce- 1/2 cup
- chilli sauce- 2 tsp
- vinegar- 1 tsp
- sugar-to taste
Procedure:
1. In a bowl, prepare a medium consistency paste of maida/cornflour with a water.Add a little salt and black pepper to it. Coat paneer with the mixture.
2. Heat uphalf a table spoon of oil in a pan and cook paneer till it achieves golden color from all sides.
3. Heat up remaining oil in a yok. To it , add the carrots, green bell pepper, red bell pepper. Cook for a minute or two. Just take care that vegetables do not loose their crisp.
4. To this add paneer, soya sauce, tomato sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar and a little sugar and salt as per taste. Add the black pepper powder to it.
5. Just give it a toss and serve hot.
Dry paneer chilli or chilli paneer is ready.
