14.Vegetable pie:
Serves : 4
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- oil: 1 tsp
- carrots(finely chopped)- 1/2 cup
- green bell peppers(finely chopped)-1/2 cup
- red bell peppers(finely chopped)-1/2 cup
- sweet corn (boiled and crushed)- 1/2 cup
- mushrooms(finely chopped)-1/2 cup (optional)
- paneer(cut into small cubes)- 1/2 cup(optional)
- salt- to taste
- black pepper- 3/4 tsp
- spinach-1/3 cup
- oregano- to season
- nutmeg powder-1/4 tsp
- butter- 1/4 cup
- maida- 1/4 cup
- milk- as per necessity
- cheese(optional)- as per necessity
- boiled and mashed potatoes-2
- sour cream- 1/2 cup
Procedure:
2. Add salt, black pepper, oregano, nutmeg powder.
3. Then in a different pan, heat up butter and immediately add all purpose flour to it. Add salt and seasonings. Add cheese and milk to give it aq sauce like consistency.
4. Mix sauce and vegetables and pour it into a pie mould.
(If no pie mould is available, put it in a baking dish.)
5. Then take mashed potato. Ti it add sour cream, salt and black pepper powder. Mix it well to make a consistent mixture.Put this mixture over the vegetable-sauce mixture.
6. To add the glaze, brush it up with milk and bake it into preheated oven at 200 celcius till the potatoes have golden brown color.
7.Serve hot.
