Kela-Methi sabji
Kela-methi is a simpler recipe that my mom has taught me.Lets have a look, how to quickly make this sabji.
Ingredients:
Banana- 3
jeera/cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
oil- 1 1/2 tbsp
hing/asofoetida- a pinch
curry leaves- 4-5
methi/fenugreek leaves-(finely chooped)- 1/2 cup
dhaniya/coriander powder- 1 tsp
haldi/turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
red chili powder- 1/2 tsp
salt, sugar -to taste.
Procedure:
Step 1. Cut banana into 1/2 inch round pieces.
Step 2. Heat up oil, add jeera. After jeera gets a little brown, add hing, curry leaves, dhaniya powder, haldi powder. Just let it cook for 30 seconds on medium flame.
Step 3. Add fresh methi leaves into it. Cook for a minute.
Step 4. Add bananas into it. Add sugar if necessary. Add salt, red chili powder and just mix it gently such that banana gets covered with all the spices.
Remove it off the flame in 30 seconds and serve hot with rotis, puris, etc.
This sabji gets ready in less than five minutes.Hence, is a great option for tiffins.
