8.Bakarwadi(A healthier version):

Ingredients:
For Dough:
- Jowar flour- 1 cup
- Besan- 1/2 cup
- Wheat flour- 1 cup
- oil- 1 tbsp
- salt- to taste
- haldi powder- 1/4th tsp
- Ajwain -1/2 tsp
For Stuffing:
- til- 1tbsp
- desiccated coconut- 1 tbsp
- soonth(dried ginger powder)- 1/2 tsp
- lal mirchi powder- 1/4th tsp
- garam masala- 1/2 tsp
- jeera powder-1 tsp
- dhaniya powder- 1tsp
- salt- to taste
- sugar powder- 2 tsp
- finely chopped coriander leaves-2 tbsp
- imli chutney- 1tbsp

Procedure:
For making dough:
Mix all the ingredients and make a hard dough.
Give it a standing time of 10 minutes.
For stuffing:
Heat little oil in a pan. Add sesame seeds(til) in it. As til get cooked, add desiccated coconut to it. As it gets a little color, turn off the flame.
Add all other ingredients to it and give it a mix.
Now,roll out rotis of dough. On the top of it, spread the stuffing properly.
At the edges, apply the imli chutney and roll the roti to make a perfect tight roll.
Seal the edges with the chutney and cut it into small pieces.
Fry these pieces on medium heat and serve after cooling.
One can store these vadis in an air tight container.
ENJOY a perfect mouth watering snack.
* this is a healthier version as it has not used maida(all purpose flour) and instead uses jowar flour.
If jowar flour is not available, we may replace it with all purpose flour.
